Boldly embracing and promoting Hebrew culture
Truth, as it Relates to Loving Yourself, for Hebrews

Truth, as it Relates to Loving Yourself, for Hebrews

Knowing, speaking, and surrounding yourself with truth is extremely important.

Because truth is what stands between what is real and what is pretend. If you what to live a fulfilled life, it can’t be a pretend one.

Unfortunately, in our society, not much of anything is 100 percent truth. Most things are photoshopped, edited, and primed to perfection then sold to the masses. Movies, social media, pop culture, all promote a false sense of reality.

Pop culture is founded and fed on things that are untrue. And it sends us into this hamster-on-the-wheel game.

We, the consumers, strive desperately to achieve the unachievable. We lust after the idea of perfect and when we fail to reach it, it hurts us. We are anxious and depressed and worried that we are failing at life. We question who we are. We hate ourselves and we’re fearful and sad and tired.

Unfortunately, this isn’t exclusive to those who are non-Hebrews or Messianics. Hebrews are experiencing the same depression and self loathing that unbelievers experience. We live in the same world and we are experiencing the same problems.

I experience it. You’ve probably experienced it at some point.

What I’m learning is that, as Hebrews, we have to discern between truth and falsehood. And that applies to so much more than just your beliefs about the Bible. We should be truthful about everything in this life.

We need to start speaking truth about ourselves like we do about the Bible. We are supposed to be a nation of priests and royalty. We are supposed to be honorable.

We carry the renown of the name of Yahweh every single day. When we claim to be a child of God, we are carrying the good name of Yahweh.

You can’t proclaim the love of God and how great he is, while you’re also telling yourself you’re stupid and ugly and that you’re a failure.

I can’t talk about the greatness of the power of God while I’m still enslaved by the fear of man and what he’ll think of me.

The truth is that Yahweh created you a capable individual. He created you with an incredibly powerful mind. He gave you a physical body with amazing potential.

The truth is that you have been given a spirit of power and a sound mind.

The truth is that you are loved by Yahweh and by others.

The truth is that you aren’t stupid. You are able to learn and grow.

The truth is that Yahweh is with you always. You don’t have to be fearful.

The truth is that you have the ability to develop yourself and achieve goals.

That is the truth.

We are Yahweh’s people. We can’t be walking around like we’re worthless and unlovable.

Believe the truth; not the lie you’ve told yourself. Not the lie you’ve heard. Believe the truth, even if it feels awkward at first.

For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” Deuteronomy 7:6

When you wake up in the morning and before you go to sleep, read Yah’s word. The scripture is truth. Beginning and ending every day with truth sets the perimeters of your day in truth.

You are not failing; because the standard our society goes by, is mostly lies.

The truth is that the greatest virtue is love. We are called to love; Yahweh, others, and ourselves.
